Ashlee, Brian Gibson of Mesa launch online fundraiser to help pay for fertility treatments

MESA, AZ - A Mesa couple launched an online fundraiser to financially assist them in their process of getting pregnant.

Ashlee and Brian Gibson, a teacher and school bus driver, have been trying to have a baby since they were married four years ago.

Earlier this year, the Gibson's decided to launch a fundraiser on to help pay for fertility treatments.

On the site, Ashlee educates potential donators that the treatments cost around $1,500 to $2,000. The couple is hoping to save enough for a few consecutive months of sessions.

As a way of saying "thank you," the Gibson's established reward levels: the higher the level, the greater the reward.

For participants who donate between $5 and $99, the hopeful parents will write their name on a puzzle piece to be framed in the nursery.

Donators who reach level three, a contribution between $300 and $499, will be featured in the baby book and receive the rewards from the previous levels.

As of July 17, their progress bar shows they have raised 38 percent of their goal.

"They say it takes a village to raise a child. Turns out it might in fact take a village to make one too," Ashlee Gibson wrote on the couple's donation site.

On their blog , the Gibsons provide progress reports on "Operation: Baby".
