A 31-year-old Arizona man is accused of stealing more than $1,000 in Lego products from stores around the Valley.

According to the police report, loss prevention officers at Target stores in Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek noticed high-value Lego sets were missing.

All of the alleged incidents happened in April.

They looked through surveillance video and receipts and linked Collin James Sparks to all of them, according to the police report.

Authorities allege that Sparks would walk into the Target stores, pull a Lego set off the shelf and use a prior receipt to return the item for cash.

Other times he would pull two sets down from the shelf, return one, and walk out without paying for the second one. He would then sell the items on Craigslist, according to police.

Sparks was arrested on July 15 in Scottsdale. He faces charges of theft and trafficking in stolen property.
