Special needs teen Katie Stull missing in Chandler found safe, according to police

CHANDLER, AZ - Chandler police say an 18-year-old special needs female who walked away from an assisted care facility Sunday night was found safe Monday afternoon.

Police say Katie Stull lives in the 1700 block of E. Countrywalk Lane in Chandler, near Cooper and Ray roads, and did not return from an evening walk.

Stull is deaf with the mental capacity of a 2nd grader, according to police.

Chandler police said someone saw Stull's photo on the news and was able to identify her.

It's unclear where she was, but police said she was found safe and sound.
