PD: Motorcyclist killed after crash in Chandler

CHANDLER, AZ - Authorities say a motorcyclist died Wednesday evening after striking a median in Chandler.

Sgt. Joe Favazzo, spokesman for the Chandler Police Department, said the 27-year-old crashed while traveling southbound on Price Road just north of Armstrong Way around at 5:20 p.m.

Evidence at the scene indicated the driver struck the median curb, lost control, and then struck a tree. The victim was transported to Chandler Regional Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

It is unknown if impairment was a factor in the crash. No other details were released.
