PD: Four arrested after drive-by shooting, police pursuit in Chandler

CHANDLER, AZ - Chandler Police arrested four suspects after a drive-by shooting and police pursuit on Tuesday night.

A vehicle with the suspects, two men and two women, pulled up to a home at Chandler Boulevard and Exeter Street and began firing rounds at the house, according to Det. Seth Tyler.

Three children under age five were inside the house, in addition to multiple others, while the suspects were shooting, police say.

The vehicle fled the scene, getting onto Interstate 10 in Chandler and heading into Phoenix. Police and Arizona Department of Public Safety officials used stop sticks on the car in order to end the chase, police say.

The car was stopped at 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street in Phoenix, where police arrested the suspects, officials say.

Martin Recio, 27, was booked on seven counts of attempt first degree murder, three counts of endangerment, one count of drive-by shooting, possessing a weapon by a prohibited person, tampering with physical evidence and assisting in a criminal syndicate/street gang, Tyler says. The other man, also 27, was booked on the same charges.

Recio, the driver of the vehicle, faces another charge, unlawful flight from a law enforcement vehicle.

Yvette Christine Lopez, 24, and Clarisa Odell, 20, were booked on one count of attempted first degree murder, according to police.
