CHANDLER - Authorities are currently investigating the deaths of a Valley father and his three-month-old son.
Detective Seth Tyler of the Chandler Police Department said authorities are investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide near Ray Road and Arizona Avenue.
Frank Barazza, a neighbor who lives about seven houses down, described the entire situation as sad.
"How desperate can an individual be to take it to that length? What's going through a individual's head? It's just saddening," said Barazza.
Police were called to the area around 2 a.m. Sunday morning. First responders found the body of a 25-year-old male, believed to be the father, sitting in the front seat of the car. The body of a 3-month-old boy was on his lap.
The father and son attended a family gathering earlier in the evening.
A handwritten sign posted on the door of the home where the incident happened read, "No comment. Please respect our family's privacy at this difficult time."
The father's identity has not been released.
