The Chandler Police Department is investigating a deadly collision that occurred overnight.
Police say an SUV was traveling south on Val Vista Road approaching Riggs Road when the vehicle struck the median, and then a light pole.
According to police the crash occurred around 1 a.m. Saturday and the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is currently unknown if alcohol played a factor.
