CHANDLER, AZ - Faulty sounding equipment and one small platform is all music teacher Sarah Burke has to work with at Bright Beginnings Elementary School.
However, it hasn't stopped her students from putting on amazing performances.
"When we go to put on a production, the kid's faces can't be seen and it's hard to even hear their voices," said Burke.
One night, Burke had a dream that she wanted to make a reality. That dream was to record an album that the school could sell in hopes of raising funds.
She immediately called a few friends in the music business, and the "Rise Up Project" was born.
In addition to the audio recording, they also shot a special DVD that will document the project.
The school's overall goal is to reach $10,000 to buy the equipment needed for the school to put on proper performances.
However, Burke explained that it's not about the money, it's about the experience that these kids get.
"I am literally to the point of being moved to tears on a fairly regular basis. Goose bumps on my skin, and they are just incredible," said Burke.
