PHOENIX - At least 8,800 Valley customers were without power Friday after a strong dust storm rolled through the Valley.
Salt River project tweeted that most of the affected customers were in the east Valley.
As of 11 p.m. that number had dwindled to less than 2,000.

SRP tweeted some advice for homeowners currently without power:
The Maricopa County Sheriff's office also reported downed power lines in the west Valley.
