Truck fire causes power outage in W. Phoenix

PHOENIX - Authorities said a Phoenix intersection has reopened after an accident involving a dump truck forced a power outage.

Phoenix police Officer James Holmes said the collision, which occurred around 12:45 p.m., involved a diesel dump truck that hit a power junction box and caught fire.

Holmes said there were no injuries, but police had to shut down the area of 83rd Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road due to a power outage.

As of 6:45 p.m., Holmes said the intersection has reopened.
