PHOENIX - A suspect was arrested Wednesday in connection with the 2013 sexual assault of an 89-year-old woman, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
Police said 21-year-old Angel Flores was arrested and booked after DNA evidence at the victim’s home near 59th Avenue and Thomas Road linked him to the crime.
The arrest stems from a sexual assault case on April 14, 2013. That morning, the victim had opened her door after someone knocked, according to police. The man then forced his way into the home and sexually assaulted her.
Police said Flores, who has denied being involved in the attack, also faces charges of kidnapping and burglary.
