Police are investigating after a homeowner shot an armed man during a confrontation in west Phoenix on Monday evening.
According to police, just before 7 p.m. officers responded to a shooting near 59th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard.
Police say the homeowner, a man, was confronted by an unknown armed man at his door.
The unknown man reportedly refused to leave the residence.
A confrontation ensued which led to the homeowner shooting the man.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No further information was immediately available.
