A Phoenix man is accused of blowing up his sister's car and setting her husband on fire, burning the man's head, face, and body.

Court documents show that on Jan. 30, 19-year-old Ali Thamer Aldiney went to his sister's apartment near 35th Avenue and Glendale and knocked on the door.

Police say when his brother-in-law opened the door, Aldiney lit a water bottle full of gasoline on fire and poured it on him. The flames was so intense it also set the apartment on fire, officials said.

Aldiney then went to his sister's car and set it on fire by putting a an object in the gas tank spout and lighting it.

A patrol officer spotted Aldiney in his car and arrested him.

Aldiney admitted to police that he sprayed gas on the victim intending to burn his hands.
