PHOENIX - Quick thinking led to the arrest of a man accused of molesting two young girls at a Phoenix park on Thursday.
Phoenix police say officers responded to Falcon Park near 35th Avenue and Roosevelt Street around 4:20 p.m. for a report of a child molesting.
Officers learned that two young girls and a boy had gone into the women’s restroom in the park where a man touched both of the girls in their private parts.
Police say one of the girls, ages 6 and 7, ran out and told a teenage family member who confronted the man.
The man got into a car and left the park, but not before the family member got the license plate number on the vehicle.
Officers and detectives discovered the vehicle was registered to a home on the Gila River Indian Community and Gila River police were notified.
The vehicle was found and the suspect, Charles Styles, was located and taken into custody.
It was determined that Styles was not a member of the Gila River Indian Community and was turned over to Phoenix police.
Styles, 43, was identified by the victims and witnesses as the suspect.
Police said he is also a registered sex offender.
He was booked into jail on four counts of sexual conduct with a minor.
