Officials are investigating after a man was shot to death Tuesday morning in west Phoenix.
According to Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos, a Hispanic male in his 30’s knocked on the door of a home near 63rd Avenue and Obsorn road just before 1:00 a.m.
The man told the homeowner that he had been shot and collapsed inside the home from an apparent gunshot wound, Martos said.
The man who lives there did not want to be identified. He said the man would come to his house from time to time. He did not know the man's real name but thought he stayed with different people in the area.
The occupant of the home said it was upsetting mainly because his kids were home at the time.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
