Phoenix police are investigating a shooting involving two scenes in the area of 27th Avenue and McDowell Road.

According to police on scene Saturday morning, an argument took place at the AM/PM gas station at the intersection which led to shots fired between two parties.

One person was shot in the femur and police say witnesses told them the victim asked for a ride to the hospital.

The witnesses reportedly drove the victim about a block away, got nervous and left him in a parking lot near 28th Avenue and McDowell Road. Witnesses at that scene called police for help.

The victim was reportedly found in the passenger seat of a truck there and was rushed to the hospital for surgery. He is expected to survive.
