PHOENIX - The stray dog who roamed around the Brewers Spring Training ballpark in Maryvale has found a permanent home in Milwaukee.
According to Yahoo! Sports, “Hank” named after MLB legend Hank Aaron, will now reside in the home of a Brewers executive.
Brewer’s manager praised the Shih Tzu mix for being a good teammate, the report says.
Hank will board a charter flight this weekend and leave Phoenix for Wisconsin.
He was originally found roaming around Maryvale Baseball Park In February and the Brewers organization quickly embraced the stray dog. The team even took Hank to get his necessary shots.
The emergence of Hank created a lot of buzz on social media and around the training facility.
The Brewers have a Twitter hashtag for him (#Ballparkpup) where they tweet updates about Hank.
