Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating a West Valley animal cruelty situation involving nearly three dozen dogs.
Animal Cruelty detectives arrived at the scene near 111th and Peoria avenues on Tuesday morning where there were reportedly 25 Shih Tzu dogs and a cat that were seized.
A 69-year-old woman, Linda Crandall, was reportedly taken into custody, according to information on scene.
An MCSO official says a second home was raided nearby in connection to the same suspect and several more dogs were also recovered.
In total 31 Shih Tzu dogs were recovered and one cat. One of those dogs gave birth to a puppy at the vet shortly after.
