Firefighters battle business fire in west Phoenix

PHOENIX - Firefighters had their hands full battling a business fire in Phoenix Thursday night.

Phoenix Fire Captain Ruben Saavedra said the fire started around 8 p.m. at a strip mall near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road.

Saavedra said when crews arrived on scene, they battled heavy rain, winds and downed power lines to put the fire out.

Crews said the fire was contained to one business.

Saavedra said it is too soon to say if the fire was weather related.

Firefighters said no one was injured in the blaze.
