FD: 5 seriously injured in west Phoenix collision

PHOENIX - Authorities say five people were taken to the hospital after a t-bone accident in West Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.

The accident happened around 4 p.m. near 71st Avenue and Thomas Road.

Fire Department spokesman Tony Mure said the victims, ranging in ages from 10 to 44 years old, were transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Mure said between five and six other people were injured. There is no word on their condition at this time.

Air15 video showed at least two fire department trucks and several emergency crews on scene.
