According to DPS, a dark gray vehicle was traveling north on the 101 just south of Bell Road when a tan pickup truck pulled to the left of the car.

Officials said the truck fired multiple shots out from the passenger window directed towards the gray car.

Multiple rounds struck the driver's side and the left side of the vehicle. The driver's side window was shattered, as well as the rear passenger window which was shot out.

DPS said "incredibly" no one was struck by the bullets or by debris, according to a press release by the agency.

The truck then traveled behind the gray car and got off the freeway on the Bell Road exit.

Officials said they are looking for a suspect who was in a tan truck. There is no description of the make, model or license plate of the truck.

DPS believes the driver in question was a man.
