Phoenix police say a man was killed after he was found shot outside his apartment on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, someone called 911 saying they were arriving home and found their neighbor, identified as 29-year-old Mario Ruiz, outside his apartment shot.
This happened at the complex near 7th Street and Dobbins Road just before noon.
Police also found two children unharmed inside Ruiz's home at the time.
Ruiz was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No suspect information has been released.
