Phoenix Police say an officer shot a homicide suspect in southern Phoenix on Thursday morning.

The 34-year-old suspect was reportedly wanted for a murder committed earlier in the morning.

The suspect and an acquaintance got into an argument in a home near 35th Avenue and Roeser Road when the suspect shot and killed the 31-year-old man.

Family identified the victim as Martin Elias Tagaban.

The suspect reportedly fled south and police caught up to him around 33rd and Southern avenues. They attempted to take the suspect down with bean bags and stun guns, but he continued running.
