PHOENIX - Police say a man on a bicycle was struck and killed at a south Phoenix intersection Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at 19th Avenue and Broadway Road, according to Phoenix police.
Phoenix police Officer James Holmes said an adult male, who has been identified as 20-year-old Luis Edwardo Santalla was crossing in a crosswalk on a bicycle traveling west on Broadway Road when he was struck by a Salt River Project truck turning south on 19th Avenue.
The driver of the truck did stop and impairment is not suspected, Holmes said. The driver was reportedly being cooperative.
The cause of the crash is unclear at this time.
