Authorities are asking for help in tracking down a suspect who ripped the cash drawer out of a convenience store register and got away last month.

According to Silent Witness, the suspect entered the Circle K near 51st Avenue and Lower Buckeye Road around 1:50 a.m. on Feb. 17.

The suspect approached the counter with a bag of chips and handed the clerk money to pay for it. When the register was opened, the suspect leaned over the counter and grabbed the cash drawer while pushing the clerk away.

The suspect walked out of the store with the register drawer and drove off in a silver sedan with a black bra in the front.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man roughly 25 years old. He is around 5'10" tall and 180 pounds, authorities said, with black hair. He was wearing a red sweatshirt and black pants at the time of the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a cash reward.
