PHOENIX - Police are looking for witnesses after a woman was killed while crossing a South Phoenix street Saturday night.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said the 21-year-old woman was crossing mid-block near 19th Avenue and Baseline Road when she was struck.
The driver did not remain at the scene and so far police have no vehicle or driver description.
Martos said the driver of a second vehicle remained on scene.
Police are asking anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation.
