PHOENIX - Police identified a man Friday who died after a possible gang-related shooting at a south Phoenix house.
According to Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump, one man is dead and another wounded after the gun battle near 16th Street and Roeser Road.
The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. Thursday.
Officers responded to the scene and learned the shooting took place both inside and outside the house, Crump said.
While police were on scene, two male victims were reportedly being dropped off at Maricopa Medical Center by a private vehicle.
A 30-year-old male victim went into surgery and remains hospitalized, and the other victim died as a result of his injuries, according to Crump.
The deceased victim was identified as 27-year-old Anthony Hines.
Detectives have learned through interviews that a group of men arrived at the home and were let inside, Crump said.
An argument started and a physical fight took place in the home.
According to witness information from police, a third person may have been shot in the leg and hasn't sought treatment.
