PHOENIX - Sandra Traylor has waited nearly 25 years for her 13-year-old nephew to return home after he "disappeared" while walking to his grandmother's house.
"I just want to know what happened to him," she told ABC15.
Myron Traylor was reported missing on July 27, 1988.
He was walking with his mother when he stopped at OK Fish & Chips near 16th Street and Southern to grab a soda. He told his mom he would catch up to her. Once he left the strip mall, his family never saw him again.
"I look at people going down the street and say, could that be him at this age?" she said.
Sandra believes the man who abducted her nephew is in prison and that police agree, but lack evidence to charge him with the crime.
"It's the worst feeling in your heart," she said, "because you always think it happens to someone else."
After seeing the story of the three missing women rescued from the Cleveland home, she said it gives her hope that, perhaps, Myron is alive.
"It's been so long," she said as tears fell from her face. "We need to know."
Both of Myron's parents have died since his disappearance.
