PHOENIX - A young boy died after he was hit by a vehicle in south Phoenix while riding his bike Wednesday night.
Phoenix police say the 8-year-old was riding southbound on 26th Drive and did not stop for the stop sign at Roeser Road.
He road into the intersection where he was struck by a westbound Dodge Nitro.
Phoenix police said the boy was transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital in extremely critical condition but later died from his injuries.
