PHOENIX - One woman is dead and another man was found with an injury Friday after what police believe was a failed murder-suicide in North Phoenix.
According to Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a residence near 25th Street and Greenway Road around 2:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals inside an apartment. A 29-year-old woman had been shot to death and the second individual, a 44-year-old male, suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Evidence at the scene led police to believe that the man shot and killed the woman, then attempted to kill himself, but failed.
Police say both individuals lived in the apartment together.
The suspect is expected to be booked into jail after being released from the hospital.
