PHOENIX - Phoenix police released two additional photos Wednesday of a man and a woman who were found dead in their home earlier this month in hopes it will provide new leads in the investigation.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said the photos of William Singer and his wife, Barbara, were taken around 10:30 p.m. on June 28 while the two were removing money from an ATM near 35th Avenue and Bell Road, not far from their residence.
The husband withdrew an undisclosed amount of money. His wife withdrew an undisclosed amount of money about 15 minutes later, police said.
The husband and wife were found dead in their home on July 2 located near 35th Avenue and Bell Road after a caretaker called authorities to conduct a welfare check.
Police are investigating the incident as a double murder.
The couple's son, Bill, spoke to ABC15 on July 9 and said, "“It doesn’t make any sense. They would have helped anyone."
Bill said his father was a retired Marine Captain and flew helicopters during Korea. He also worked as a medivac while he was in the Valley. His mother was a pediatric nurse.
“My main concern is I don’t want this to happen to anyone else,” he said.
Police said they have no lead suspects or persons of interest. Authorities said there does not appear to be any forced entry and the door was locked when investigators arrived.
