Police look for former boyfriend in north Phoenix murder case

PHOENIX - Phoenix police are searching for a murder victim's former boyfriend who they’re calling an investigative lead in the case in north Phoenix.

Police want to talk to 53-year-old Wade Ridley regarding the crime, according to Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos.

When officers responded to a home near Tatum and Dynamite boulevards just before 4 p.m. Thursday, they found 62-year-old Anne Marie Simenson with obvious signs of trauma. She was pronounced dead just after 4 p.m., Martos said.

Ridley is reportedly Simenson's former boyfriend.

Martos said Simenson lived at the home with her current boyfriend, who is not considered a suspect in the homicide.

According to Martos, officers discovered the victim's vehicle was taken from the home, and investigators believe the person driving the car may have been involved in or witnessed the attack.

The vehicle is described as a red 2005 Toyota Solara with a black convertible top and Arizona license plate C9590.

Martos said anyone who sees the vehicle is urged to contact 911 immediately. He warned that anyone who sees the car should not approach the occupants.
