PD: Man shot, killed after altercation in Phoenix

PHOENIX - Authorities are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Phoenix Saturday night.

The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. near 29th Place and McDowell Road.

Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said an adult male rode up to a house on his bike and some sort of altercation occurred.

Authorities said the victim was already dead when officers arrived on scene.

ABC15 crews observed a Humane Society truck at the home while police were investigating.

Neighbors said the house does have a lot of Pitbull dogs and visitors at all hours of the day.

Carlos Avila, who lives nearby, said he's used to seeing police in the neighborhood, but not for a homicide investigation.

"Theres' a lot of people here selling drugs, and all that kind of stuff, but I don't think this happens all the time."

Authorities said there are no known witnesses or suspect information at this time
