Pinal County sexual assault: Police arrested Dakota Blake Williams in sexual assault case

PINAL COUNTY, AZ - A 23-year-old man has been arrested for sexual assault after police released a composite sketch last week.

Pinal County Police arrested Dakota Blake Williams, 23, of Coolidge, Ariz. on charges of sexual assault and kidnapping, after a tip came in through Silent Witness.

A 32-year-old woman said Williams offered her a ride from a convenience store in Casa Grande, Ariz. to Phoenix, according to police. The driver pulled off the freeway and allegedly sexually assaulted the woman in the nearby desert, police said.

The woman said the suspect, who was driving a red older model Firebird or Camaro, originally said his first name was William.

Police arrested Williams in Casa Grande, Ariz. and secured a search warrant to seize a 1994 red Pontiac Firebird. The victim successfully identified Williams in a photo lineup.

Williams has been booked in the Pinal County Detention Center on one count of sexual assault, and one count of kidnapping, according to police.

Police believe that Williams has committed at least one other sexual assault in Pinal County and is asking anyone who may have been a victim to contact the Pinal County Sheriff's Office at 520-866-5111.

Police said the case is still under investigation.
