PHOENIX - Just in time for rush hour, the SR 51 northbound is back open after being closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon.
The Arizona Department of Transportation shut down the freeway at Cactus Road after a cement truck overturned sending debris across the freeway.
The HOV and left lanes of the southbound 51 reopened around 2:35 p.m.
The northbound lanes were shut down for almost three hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
DPS spokesman Bart Graves said the cement truck driver suffered only minor injuries.
Officers are investigating what caused the truck to rollover.
