Police are investigating a smash-and-grab burglary early Wednesday morning at a jewelry store in the northeast Valley.

According to information at the scene near Scottsdale Road just south of the Loop 101, suspects reportedly busted through the Ganem Jewelers store with a vehicle, broke open jewelry cases and took off with merchandise.

Kevin Ryan recently dropped off his watch at Ganem Jewelers to be repaired.

"That's pretty surprising — a little scary,"  Ryan said. "Obviously they had been thinking about it and were already here at some point scoping the place out."

According to Scottsdale police, investigators have since recovered the car. However, they're continuing to search for four suspects.

Police continue to comb through surveillance footage. At this time, there's no information on just how much was stolen from the store. No injuries were reported.
