PHOENIX - Police are investigating after two people were found dead in a north Phoenix home on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the home near 35th Avenue and Bell Road around 3 p.m. after receiving a call to check on the residents.
The caller was a caretaker for one of the victims and said they had not gotten an answer at the door.
When officers arrived they found a man and woman dead inside.
Homicide detectives began an investigation and determined the deaths were not the result of a murder/suicide.
The victims, 81-year-old William Singer and 64-year-old Barbara Singer, had been married for over 30 years but do not have any children in common, according to police.
Police say detectives have limited information to go on and urge anyone with information about this crime to call the Phoenix Police Department Homicide Unit or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
