PHOENIX - The weekend storms are leaving days if not weeks worth of clean-up for many residents in North Phoenix.
The damage is widespread through many neighborhoods near 40th Street and Greenway.
An apartment complex in the area was especially hard hit. Large tree branches are down through out the complex and some cars were smashed by trees and debris.
A few miles away, a tree toppled onto a home, breaking through the roof. Fortunately no one was injured.
"I heard the thud," said Jay Brewer who lives across the street. "They were lucky."
APS crews worked around the night to restore power to residents. At one point there were some 25,000 people across the Valley without power.

Crews laid temporary lines in some neighborhoods. By mid-morning power to all but about a hundred people had been restored.
The work will continue to repair the power lines at various locations. Some streets or lanes may be closed indefinitely.
