Motorcyclist killed in N. Phoenix crash

PHOENIX - A motorcyclist has died after he was involved in an accident in north Phoenix.

Phoenix police say the crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. at Cactus and Cave Creek roads when the 61-year-old motorcyclist hit the curb and fell off his bike.

He wasn't wearing a helmet, according to police.

Impairment is suspected to be a factor in the collision, according to police. A second biker was not hurt and was talking to officers.

The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated.
