FD: Man struck, critically injured while helping push a disabled vehicle

PHOENIX - A good Samaritan was critically injured while helping someone with a disabled vehicle along Interstate 17 Monday.

Phoenix fire Capt. Jonathan Jacobs said a man in his late 50s was helping someone push a disabled vehicle near Peoria Avenue when the car was rear-ended and the man was struck.

The victim was transported to the hospital as a trauma patient, Jacobs said.

No other details were immediately available.
