PHOENIX - Two teenagers have been taken to Valley hospitals after they were struck by a vehicle in north Phoenix Tuesday morning.
Phoenix fire Capt. Jonathan Jacobs said the male and female patients are both 17 years old.
The male was air-lifted to a Phoenix hospital and the female was transported to the hospital by ground ambulance.
The accident happened around 7:30 a.m. near 36th Avenue and Happy Valley Road near Sandra Day O'Connor High School.
Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said the students were crossing mid-block when they were struck by an SUV.
Crump said their injuries were not life-threatening.
