PHOENIX - A woman was able to save her three children and parents as her home went up in flames on Saturday.
According to the Phoenix Fire Department, crews responded to the home near 32nd and Van Buren streets at 2:30 p.m.
The mother of three told authorities she was asleep in the back bedroom when she suddenly awoke with her arm becoming hot and looked over to see her bedroom wall on fire.
The mother grabbed her children, two elderly parents and escaped unharmed.
The mobile home is a complete loss, according to the fire department, and all personal belongings were severely damaged or destroyed.
The family is being helped by the Phoenix Fire Department and Red Cross.
Authorities say the family did not have a working smoke detector.
