William Singer is pleading for answers in hopes of catching his parent's killers

PHOENIX - An Arizona couple's son is asking for the public's help in the brutal murder of his parents last week inside their Phoenix home.

Last week, William Singer and his wife of almost 40 years were found dead inside their home on July 3 near 35th Avenue and Bell Road.

Police were sent out to the home after a caretaker became worried when the couple didn’t answer the door.

Inside, police said was a gruesome murder scene.

“It doesn’t make any sense. They would have helped anyone,” said Bill Singer, the victims' son.

William was a retired Marine Captain and flew helicopters during Korea. He also worked as a medivac while he was in the Valley. His wife Barbara worked as a pediatric nurse. Both of the victims were currently retired.

Bill said both of his parents loved to serve and save lives. So when he got the call about their deaths, he didn’t understand who could do something like this. He is speaking out hoping the public can help catch his parent’s killer.

“My main concern is I don’t want this to happen to anyone else,” he said.

Police said they have no lead suspects or persons of interest. Authorities said there does not appear to be any forced entry and the door was locked when investigators arrived.
