VIDEO: Phoenix Fire talks flooding, water rescues, driver safety

PHOENIX - The Phoenix Fire Department responded to multiple water rescues Tuesday morning after storms brought heavy down pours to the area.

Phoenix Fire Captain Benjamin Santillan said at one time there were 7 water rescues happening throughout the Valley at one time. He also said multiple fire crews were responding and assisting.

More rain is expected this week. To keep flood waters out of your home, you can pick up sand at 10 Phoenix fire stations and some street facilities.

The sand is available on a first-come, first served basis. You must supply your own bags and shovels to pick up the sand.

Santillan also gave advice to motorists to motorists to not cross flooded roadways. Watch the video to hear more of his interview with ABC15.
