Valley residents split on President Obama's plan to fight gun violence

PHOENIX - Valley residents are split on the President's 23-step executive order to help reduce gun violence across the nation.

"I think it is a good idea. We need to take responsibility, and this is a good place to start," said Richard Farmer.

The plan addresses everything from cracking down on the current gun laws, fixing the mental health issue, universal background checks, and school safety.

"To make a real and lasting difference, Congress must act," Obama said. "And Congress must act soon."
