PHOENIX - One Valley dad is having an extra special Father’s Day after becoming a father to five brand-new babies.
Surprise resident Roxanna Hoffman gave birth to the quintuplets at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix on Friday.
The babies, one boy and four girls, were born within two minutes of each other after a 31-week pregnancy- a few weeks longer than the average quintuplet gestational period, according to the hospital.
The couple, originally from New Jersey, recently moved to the area to receive care from medical specialists in the Valley.
Father Michael Hoffman was stationed at Like Air Force Base as a staff sergeant, but was relocated to Valley of the Sun to be closer to his wife in the hospital.
The family planned to have Conner, the quintuplet’s big brother, name the babies when he saw them.
The family reportedly named the quintuplets Aurora Arizona, Brielle Bryleigh, Delilah Daphney, Elias Michael and Felicity Fiona.
Mrs. Hoffman is in good condition and the babies are being taken care of in the neonatal intensive care unit at the medical center, the hospital says.
