Valley family's lost dog put on craigslist

PHOENIX - A Valley family desperately searching for their dog needs your help. Donte, a 7 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier went missing from his home on April 18.

“I came home and I saw the fence gate was open. My heart sank and I knew my little guy was gone,” said Stephen Rice, Donte’s owners.

For two weeks, his family searched the neighborhood, passed out flyers, and searched the internet hoping to find their puppy.

“We were losing hope as each day passed,” said Rice.

But Rice finally found a clue, an ad on craigslist with a picture of his dog.

“I was shocked. I couldn’t believe I found my dog,” said Rice.

Rice called the seller and was disappointed to discover Donte had been sold.

“I know the person who bought him doesn’t know that he has a home and a family that misses him,” said Rice.

And he’s offering $200 to the person who brings the dog home.
