PHOENIX - U.S. Senator John McCain and KFYI radio will be holding a community meeting for veterans and their families Friday at noon regarding recent VA Medical Center concerns.
The Phoenix VA Town Hall meeting, held at Burton Barr Central Library in downtown Phoenix, will help those affected by the Phoenix VA scandal.
Veterans and families needing help and looking for answers are welcome to the meeting, starting at 12 p.m.
Other officials and staff will also be at the meeting to help with claims, concerns and more.
Senator McCain previously offered veterans affected by the scandal to contact him personally if they need assistance.
Burton Barr Central Library is located at 1221 N. Central Avenue, near McDowell Road and Central Avenue.
The forum comes in response to the recent allegations that 40 veterans in the Valley died while waiting for care. There are also allegations that patients were placed on a secret waiting list that was concealed and destroyed.
The Veterans Administration ordered a face-to-face audit of every VA medical center in the country.
