Traveling to one of many holiday events this weekend around the Valley? There are only a couple closures for you to be aware of.
ADOT Traffic Advisories:
I-17 SB narrowed to two lanes at Seventh Ave (south of downtown Phoenix) for bridge repairs. Seventh Ave closed in both directions at I-17. Please allow extra time for travel on I-17 SB approaching work zone and consider alternate routes, including I-10 EB in downtown area. Consider using Seventh St, Central Ave or 19th Ave as alternate routes while Seventh Ave is closed.9 p.m. Friday - 5 a.m. Monday (Dec. 4) Note: I-17 SB will be narrowed to one lane at times near Seventh Ave while crews move barricades. Also - Drivers south of I-17 traveling north toward the APS Electric Light Parade should consider using Seventh St or Central Ave as alternate routes.
Grand Ave (US 60) closed intermittently near milepost 126 (NW of Center St) in the Wittmann area for APS overhead power line installation. Expect intermittent closures of up to 15 minutes. Please allow extra travel time. Law enforcement officers in the area will stop traffic as needed.6 a.m. - noon Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 2-3)
