Two people are dead after they were hit by vehicles in two separate incidents overnight.

The first crash happened at 78th Street and Camelback Road in Scottsdale.

A man was hit by a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Camelback Road and pronounced dead on the scene.

According to Scottsdale police, the pedestrian was walking in the street when he was hit by the vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene. Speed and impairment do not appear to be a factor.

Scottsdale police say the driver will not be charged in connection with the crash because the pedestrian was at fault.

The second deadly crash happened at 36th Street and Thomas Road in Phoenix.

Phoenix police said 43-year-old Doesha Eskew was hit by a vehicle on 36th Street, south of Thomas Road. Her body was dragged to 35th and Oak streets.

The suspect did not stay on the scene. There is no vehicle description at this time. If you have any information about this incident call 480-WITNESS.
